PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording and reproducing device which is able to make various inputs flexibly correspond to mixer channels; which is also able to make mixed outputs of a mixing bus flexibly correspond to various outputs; and which permits viewing at a glance how each channel is being used for recording, in a combination of a digital mixer and a multi-track digital recorder. SOLUTION: It is possible to selectively designate (patching) the connections to mixer inputs ch from input terminals, and it is also possible to select supply sources for supplying signals to the output terminals from plural mixing buses and plural input channels. The various inputs can be made to flexibly correspond to the mixer channels, and the mixed outputs of the mixing buses and the input channels can be made to flexibly correspond to various outputs. Further, a picture display is arranged for viewing at a glance how each channel is being used for recording.
