PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waterproof construction making a grooved substrate material waterproof, allowing the number of members to be reduced, eliminating the need for making the shapes of the member and a waterproof material increase in complexity, and preventing the generation of a dent even if a person gets on the upper section of a groove. SOLUTION: In the waterproof construction, a recess 61 is inserted into the groove 53 of the substrate material 5, a groove-part mounting member 6 is mounted in such a state that a flange 62 is placed on the substrate material 5 at the peripheral edge part of the groove 53, the side edge part of the waterproof material 7 is protruded from the edge of the recess 61 into the recess 61, the waterproof material 7 is mounted on the substrate material 5 and the flange 62, a protruding part 811 is inserted into the recess 61, and a cover material 8 is mounted in such a state that both side edge parts of the cover material 8 are placed on the side edge part of the waterproof material 7.
