PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing organic EL(electro-luminescent) display is provided to lengthen life time of a shadow mask by improving close adhesion characteristic. CONSTITUTION: An organic EL display is manufactured by forming an anode electrode on a glass substrate through which light transmits(S10), forming insulating member over the surface of the anode electrode to enable discrimination of sub-pixels(S20), forming a cathode separation partition over the insulating member to separate electrode lines of the sub-pixels(S30), forming an organic layer(S40), and forming cathode electrodes by coating metal to provide electrons to the organic layer(S50). The organic layer is formed by coating a hole injection layer and a hole transfer layer over the anode electrode having the cathode separation partition, coating an organic material after applying one of Ti, W, Mo, and Ta over a shadow mask, and coating an electron transfer layer and an electron injection layer. The thickness of one of the Ti, W, Mo, and Ta is between 0.5 and 50 micrometers.
