PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color image forming device capable of performing gradation correction for minimizing a color tone change by performing gradation correcting operation to a signal, which is the main component of a color among RGB signals, and changing the sub-component signal of the color corresponding to the change quantity of the main component signal of the color so as not to change the color tone. SOLUTION: An input gradation correcting part 52 for performing the gradation correction corresponding to the taste of a user has a gradation correction setting means and an input gradation correction operating means. The input gradation correction operating means is composed of a main component selecting means for selecting the signal to become the main component of the color among RGB signals, a gradation correction operating means for main signal component and an arithmetic means for sub-component signal. Then, converting processing, which is to be performed by the input gradation correction operating means for picture quality control, from a main component signal X to X', is performed by using a look-up table previously stored in a memory or the like. The converting processing from a sub-component signal Y to Y' is arithmetically processed by the arithmetic means corresponding to the change quantity of the main component. |
