PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely inform a user of a message, such as advertisements with voice or images and simplify the settlement of communication charges for informing the message. SOLUTION: A communication terminal 2 reads service class information stored on a telephone card 1, and if it recognizes the card to be a message viewing card about advertisements, etc., reads the telephone number of a center 3 from the telephone card to connect for communication with the center. If the communication with the center is charged, the terminal 2 subtracts a balance message count stored on the telephone card. When a voice message data are received from the center, the terminal sounds in voice from a call circuit and a handset and displays the image massage data on a display upon receipt thereof. After a prescribed time has lapsed, the terminal 2 cuts off the call connection and connects the call to a dial number dialed for call, and after ending the call, subtracts a used message count for communication from the balance message count on the telephone card. |
