PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ideally suppressing power consumption by combining ice- supercooling operation and ice condensation cooling operation. SOLUTION: An ice storage air conditioner 10 is provided with an outdoor unit 11 having a compressor 17 and an outdoor heat exchanger 20, an ice storage unit 12 having a regenerative heat exchanger 39 provided in an ice storage tank 38, and an indoor unit 13 provided with an indoor heat exchanger 35. The method of operating the air conditioner can selectively execute ice making operation of making ice in the ice storage tank, ice-supercooling operation of supercooling a refrigerant condensed in the outdoor heat exchanger by the ice in the ice storage tank before guiding the refrigerant to the indoor heat exchanger for cooling, and ice condensation cooling operation of guiding the refrigerant from the compressor to the regenerative heat exchanger, condensing and supercooling the refrigerant by the ice in the ice storage tank before guiding the refrigerant to the indoor heat exchanger for cooling. The ice-supercooling cooling operation and the ice-condensation cooling operation can be switched according to actual air conditioning load of the indoor unit. |
