PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile communication system capable of measuring the position at a high accuracy in a simple constitution, without needing separate assistant systems for obtaining position information of a vehicle. SOLUTION: In the mobile communication system, a first transmitter-receiver has at least two receiving antennas disposed with a specified spacing, an angle meter for measuring the incident angles of radio signals caught by a receiver and the receiving antennas, based on the phase difference between the caught radio signals, and a communication controller for controlling the transmission and reception of data, a second transmitter-receiver has an antenna for transmitting/receiving signals to/from the first transmitter-receiver, antenna duplexer, transmitter, communication controller for controlling the transmission and reception of data to/from a receiver, and instrument for measuring the running condition of a mobile station, and a road side processor calculates position information of the mobile station, based on an incident angle calculated by the angle meter in the first transmitter-receiver and running information obtained from the instrument for measuring the running condition of the mobile station in the second transmitter-receiver.
