ZCYS9: A MEMBER OF THE CYSTATIN SUPERFAMILY

The cystatin superfamily includes inhibitors of cysteine proteinases, which function in a protective role with regard to various pathological actions of endogenous proteinases. Zcys9 is a new member of this superfamily.
