A composite oxide for an air electrode and a material of a collector of a solid electrolyte fuel cell which comprises a composite oxide represented by La1-x-yAxLnyMnzO3+ delta , wherein A represents Ca and/or Sr, Ln represents at least one selected from among Sm, Gd and Y, 0.3 </= x </= 0.6, 0 </= y </= 0.3 and 1.5 </= z </= 4.5. The composite oxide is suppressed in the shrinkage phenomenon caused by heat cycles of a solid electrolyte fuel cell, is reduced in the fracture or exfoliation thereof, exhibits improved sintering properties, and has improved conductivity. |
