The washing machine according to thepresent invention comprises more than one separate drums and tubs in which said drums are located. In a preferred embodiment of the invention the washing machine comprises a first drum (1), a first tub (18) in which the first drum (1) rotates, a second drum (5) and a second tub (19) in which the second drum (5) rotates. In such washing machines, easily soiled and frequently washed laundry is washed in the second drum (5) without waiting for the loading capacity of the machine to be filled. By enabling the user to wash two different kinds of laundry in two drums simultaneously, total washing time will also be shortened.
