The seat back is supported by a central strut or two side struts (B) which in their turn are positioned and guided by an adjuster acting along the seat center line. Through this guide the inclination of the seat back can be adjusted. This is effected by a rotation of a pinion (C) in relation to a gear rack profile (F) so that the lower connecting point (Z) can move longitudinally.
