The drawback of prior art call pickup is that the call pickup is only possible within a voice network. This renders the call pickup or signaling of a call very inflexible. The aim of the invention is thus to provide a device, which signals a call for a communications terminal or for a subscriber of a group to at least one other subscriber of the group, and to provide a method for signaling calls with which a flexible call pickup, also to subscribers with changing locations, is made possible. The invention relates to a server (1) for a telecommunications network (2) comprising a detecting device (5) for detecting calls for communications terminals (3a, , 3c), which are each organized in a group (4), a generating device (6) for generating signaling messages, and comprising a transmitting device (7) for sending signaling messages via a data network (10) and a client (12) for use with said server (1) with a client receiving device (13) for receiving the first signaling messages via the data network (10). The invention also relates to a method for signaling calls, which is used in this server (1) and client (12).
