PURPOSE: Provided are an apparatus and a method for treating organic waste with high treatment efficiency. CONSTITUTION: The plant comprises two sets of first pre-treatment lines, each with a first storage hopper(1), a bucket conveyer(2), a belt conveyer(3), a magnetic sorter(4), a hammer milling pulverizer(5), a screw conveyer(6), wherein each set of lines is capable of pretreating 50% of the total amount of daily organic waste, and one set of second pretreatment line including a second storage tank(7) and an agitator(8), wherein the second storage tank has a volume to store 100% of the total amount of the daily organic waste, wastewater generated from the first pretreatment lines and plant washing water.
