<p>A distributed e-commerce platform for providing data exchange services over the Internet comprises gateway servers at customers' and suppliers' premises which store data locally, and remote hub servers which provide routing and dial-up services to enable a direct connection between gateway servers to be established. Data transfer occurs on a point-to-point or point-to-multipoint basis without intermediate storage at the hub servers.</p> |
