<p>A system for applying a thin film of molten thermoplastic to the edge of a cut fabric includes a feeder for providing a source of fabric or textile (40); a slitter for cutting the supplied fabric or textile; and at least one applicator (16) having an applicator tip (18) for applying a thermoplastic to the cut fabric or textile. The system provides for cutting the fabric or textile and maintaining the integrity of the edge thereof by application of the molten thermoplastic.</p> |
