The invention relates to a forage harvester with hydraulically driven collecting members. The aim of the invention is to stop the collecting members in as short a time as possible in the case of entry of foreign bodies, such that the components involved in the stopping process are only lightly stressed and thus suffer only light wear. Said aim is achieved, whereby at least one main control valve (23), for interrupting or releasing the hydraulic oil flow through the hydraulic motor (14), is located in the hydraulic circuit for driving the collecting members (2) and which may be switched depending on a signal from a foreign body locating device (18). The main control valve (23) is connected to at least one pilot distribution valve (27), the activator (28) of which is electrically connected to the foreign body locating device (18).
