An optical fiber (220) is wired on a substrate (210) to constitute an optical fiber wiring board (200). A relative refractive index difference DELTA of the optical fiber (220) is set to be larger than a relative refractive index difference DELTA 0 of a communication-use single-mode optical fiber, and its core diameter larger than the core diameter of a communication-use optical fiber to thereby set its mode field diameter to be almost equal to that of a communication-use optical fiber.
