The tool has an interchangeable needle (1) with a heater bar (4) which can be inserted in a handle (3). Mounted on the needle is a pot shaped heating device (10) of heat conducting material, e.g. copper, in which wax is melted. This then flows under gravitational force through ducts (6,8) to the dispensing nozzle (9). Alternatively the pot can be replaced by a wax bar which, as it is forced through the heating device, melts and flows to the nozzle.
