X = sulfur (S), selenium (Se) or tellurium (Te); Y<1>, Y<2> = hydroxyl (OH), O-acyl, amino (NH2), NH-acyl or -SR<5>; R<1>, R<3> = hydrogen (H), alkyl, aryl or carboxy; R<2>, R<4> = H, alkyl or aryl; or R<1> + R<2> and/or R<3> + R<4> = alkylene; R<5> = alkyl or aryl.
