Method for preparing a chromium iii organic complex, its use as corrosion inhibiting agent and as anticorrosive coating agent

The invention concerns a method for preparing a water-insoluble chromium III organic complex which consists in reacting a Cr III compound formed in situ with at least an aromatic compound bearing a carboxylic acid function or its salt. The reaction takes place in an aqueous medium, in the absence of concentrated mineral acid and at a temperature ranging between about 15 and 19 DEG C. The resulting insoluble complex is used as corrosion inhibiting agent, in particular in anticorrosive coatings such as paints.
