The present invention is characterized in that the area lying between both rails (1) of one track or between one rail (1) and a longitudinal support (2) is filled up, optionally bridged with plates (5) arranged in pairs and reaching by at least one of their edge parts into a contact chambers (13) of the rails (1). The plates (5) bear against the rails (1) or the rail (1) and the longitudinal support (2) outside a track grid (4). The plates (5) bridge over in self-supporting manner the rail (1) spacing and spacing between the rail (1) and the longitudinal supports (2). Both plates (5) of cover plates (3) are hinged with each other. The cover plate (3) plates (5), which are produced from a strong, wear-resistant and tough material, preferably of polyamide or reinforced polymer concrete, bear in upper section of their walls turned toward each other against each other and in lower section of these walls there are arranged in alternate manner hinges (6) having an elongate hole (8) for a pin (9) and recesses (7) for the hinge (6) of the opposite paired plate (5). The recess (7) has the form of a fourth part of lateral area of a cylinder and this part is in contact with the hinge (6) surface. The cover plates (3) are provided with at least one elongate hole (10) in each plate (5) for sectional assembly of cover plates (3) that are larger in size and they are further provided in walls perpendicular to the track grid (4) with at least one elongate groove (11) for placing therein an insert (12) when sectionally assembling the cover plates (3). In another modification, the plates (5) are provided on edges reaching id the contact chambers (13) of rails (1) and supports (2) with an elastomeric insert (16· and a pocket (14) for placing therein a fastener (15) for attaching the rail (1) to a sleeper.
