Tough element having sandwich structure

A sandwich structural element (I) comprises: (A) a decorative hard surface layer; (B) a rigid duroplastic polyurethane layer; (C) a polyurethane elastomer layer; (D) a polyurethane foam layer; (E) a further rigid duroplastic polyurethane layer; and (F) optionally a substrate or further decorative hard surface layer. An Independent claim is also included for a process for the production of (I) comprising applying the polyurethane layers successively to a substrate or a decorative surface layer.
