PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotating hook device for a sewing machine which can be rotated oilless at a high speed for a long period of time. SOLUTION: At least either of the sliding surfaces of an rotating hook bobbin case holder 4 and rotating hook 3 of the rotating hook device of the sewing machine having the rotating hook bobbin case holder 4 capable of housing a bobbin 8 and the rotating hook 3 capable of housing this rotating hook bobbin case holder 4 is coated with a coating layer 12 consisting of carbide carbon and the other is coated with a resin layer 13 consisting of a polyimide resin.
