PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing cosmetic from getting malodorous having solved such problems that cosmetics containing yeast and/or yeast extract is problematic in stability, that is, the contents get malodorous with time, in particular at high temperatures, resulting in emitting foul smell from the cosmetics, and for addressing the above problem, when such a malodor is masked with a perfume or the like, the skin is possible to be irritant depending on a perfume used. SOLUTION: This method for preventing a cosmetic containing yeast and/or yeast extract from getting malodorous comprises formulating the cosmetic with hydroxyethanedisulfonic acid and/or a salt thereof, preferably adjusting the cosmetic to pH 3-9, and also preferably formulating the cosmetic with copper chlorophyll.
