PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet processing device capable of reducing the number of times of throwing away punching waste, and an image forming device provided with the same. SOLUTION: Punched holes are bored by a punching means 50 at a prescribed position in a sheet P after image formation, and the punching waste 36 generated by punching action of the punching means 50 is contained in a punching waste container 18 detachably provided on a device body. A determination means determines whether or not the punching waste 36 in the punching waste container 18 reaches a position to throw away the punching waste 36, based on a signal from a punching waste detection means 22 to detect the punching waste 36 contained in the punching waste container 18 reaching the position to throw away the punching waste 36. The signal from the punching waste direction means 22 is nullified while the punching waste 36 is dropping toward the punching waste container 18.
