PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preventing device for malfunction of an accelerator pedal for a vehicle eliminating working of the accelerator pedal even by stepping it by a mistake in applying of a rapid brake though a structure is simple. SOLUTION: A hollow unit T is arranged in a reverse surface side of an accelerator pedal 81, a relief hole 13 continuing in/out parts of the hollow unit T is formed in its wall surface, and a plate-shaped flap 21 floated from this relief hole 13 in an ordinary state is mounted, when the accelerator pedal 81 is slowly stepped in, the hollow unit T is gradually squeezed by the accelerator pedal 81, the flap 21 holds the condition floated from the relief hole 13, to discharge air R provided in a space S of the hollow unit T from the relief hole 13, while when the accelerator pedal 81 is violently stepped in, a rapid change of a space capacity of the hollow unit T by rapid press squeezing force of the accelerator pedal 81 is received, so that the flap 21 closes the relief hole 13.
