PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric and electronic device composed of a flame retardant polybutylene terephthalate resin composition which has good heat resistance and mechanical properties, excellent surface appearance and glossness, little melt viscosity change and discoloration caused by the retention in a molten state when molding. SOLUTION: This electric and electronic device is molded from the resin composition composed of (A) 100 pts.wt. of a polybutylene terephthalate resin, (B) 3-60 pts.wt. of a brominated polycarbonate expressed in the formula I (wherein R1 and R2 are each hydrogen, 1-5C alkyl or the like; l and m are 1-4; n is 2-10; X is an end group of formula II or III; R3 is 1-10C alkyl), (C) 1-20 pts.wt. of a brominated bisphenol epoxy compound which is composed of a repeating unit expressed in the formula IV and has an epoxy equivalent of 5,150-15,000 g/eq, (D) 0.1-30 pts.wt. of an antimony compound and (E) 0.01-4 pts.wt. of a phosphorus compound.
