PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lifting and lowering device that is compact and unlimited in the position of arrangement and is safe and easy to clean, in eliminating a step in a house. SOLUTION: The lifting and lowering device comprises a structure relatively vertically movable by a driving means, and a bearing surface fixed to the structure. The driving means can generate the vertical movement in a state as being built in the structure.
