Composition (A) for dyeing keratinic fibers comprising an oxidation dye and a cationic amphiphilic polymer having at least one fatty chain includes an alkoxylated or glycerolated fatty alcohol (I) and a hydroxylic solvent (II) with a molecular weight below 250 in a (I)/(II) weight ratio greater than 1. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a kit comprising composition (A) in one compartment and a composition (B) comprising an oxidizing agent in another compartment; (2) a ready-to-use composition obtained by mixing compositions (A) and (B).
