STEERING COLUMN MODULE WITH EASILY REPLACEABLE COMPONENTS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide car component parts capable of being mounted on many types of cars and accepting easy access for maintenance and inspection works. SOLUTION: A module type steering column 10 according to the invention is equipped with a lock housing 60, a first switch module 20, a second switch module 30, an electronic component module 70, clock spring 50, and ignition switch 40.The lock housing 60 is removably mounted on the steering column, and the first switch module 20 is removably mounted on the lock housing 60 while the second switch module 30 is removably mounted on the first switch module 20 and lock housing 60. This module type constitution of component parts allows easy replacement of failed or worn component parts and also allows co-use of standard components between different types of cars.
