PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute efficiently a process of multi-page printing containing common printing data. SOLUTION: In a stencil printing apparatus having a plurality of plate cylinders, stencil paper subjected to plate making on the basis of printing data is wound on each of the plate cylinders and stencil printing is conducted by bringing printing paper into pressure contact with each plate cylinder, while a process of taking off the used stencil paper as waste from the plate cylinders is conducted. The apparatus is equipped with a mode specifying part which specifies a mode as to whether or not the stencil printing to be executed is for a plurality of pieces of printing information containing the common printing data and a control part which controls the process of plate making for the printing information, the process of taking off the plate and the stencil printing process according to specifications from the mode specifying part. When it is specified that the stencil printing process is for the printing information containing the common printing data, the control part makes a control so that the processes of making the plate and taking it off may not be conducted for the plate cylinders having the plate made for the common printing data.
