PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating apparatus reducing the use amount of a coating solution in the coating of the single surface of a sheet member to be coated, shortening a treatment time of coating or the like and not becoming high in production cost. SOLUTION: The coating apparatus, which continuously coats the surface of the sheet member 10 to be coated by a die coater 1, has a drive conveyor 22, which moves the sheet member 10 to be coated, at least on the upstream side thereof and has a conveyor 24, which has rotation resistance for allowing the sheet member 10 to be coated to push to each other, on the downstream side thereof. Each of the conveyors 22 and 24 comprises a flat suction table 40 and a feed belt 30.
