PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frosted ceramics product with a fine smooth surface for improving a conventional product that uses an alumina-based glaze which contains a lot of clay and is meltretarding, and gives the frosted but rough surface. SOLUTION: The raw materials of the glaze for the ceramics are basically a feldspar, a pottery stone, barium carbonate, an iron oxide, a titan oxide (green in lower concentration and brown in higher concentration) and a zinc oxide which is not coloring. The glaze containing barium carbonate of 20-40% that a conventional glaze contains barium carbonate of 15-20% for avoiding an excessive flowability is prepared, biscuit-fired at 900-950 deg.C, glazed and fired at 1250-1300 deg.C to form the ceramics with gloss. The ceramics is returned to the oven and fired at 900-1000 deg.C under the action of water contained in an atmosphere to form the frosted ceramics product.
