PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cushion spacer to be used in combination with a corrugated fiberboard box wherein disposal after use is simple, the spacer is excellent in storage properties, it can simply support a change in forms and it is highly practicable as it can be mass-produced at a low cost. SOLUTION: The cushion spacer 1 is formed of a cushion spacer material plate 5 comprising a piece of a corrugated fiberboard 2 formed into a strip made of a corrugated fiberboard comprising a surface liner 3A and a back liner 3B stuck to both surfaces of a medium 4 and 'a surface slit line 6 with the medium 4 and the surface liner 3A cut to separate with only the back liner 3B left' and 'a back slit line 7 with the medium 4 and the back liner 3B cut to separate with only the surface liner 3A left' which are laterally arranged on the board 2 with intervals. The surface liner 3A and the back liner 3B left on the surface and back slit lines 6 and 7 are used as a coupling piece and a hinge 8 to fold from the surface and back slit lines 6 and 7 for laminating, thereby providing the parallelopiped spacer 1.
