PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suspension support structure for an automobile capable of securing smooth squashed deformation of a side frame without causing the increase of weight and manufacturing cost thereof. SOLUTION: A suspension cross member 3 is installed by interlaying a raising spacer 10 on each undersurface of the left and right side frames 2, the raising spacer 10 is manufactured by die casting with aluminum or an aluminum alloy, bolt insertion holes 16 for bolts for respectively jointing the side frames 2 and the suspension cross member 3 to the vicinities of the front end and the rear end thereof are drilled, and a fragile part 20 is formed between both the bolt insertion holes 16 by means of a vertically penetrating thinned part 21.
