PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brassinosteroid metabolism inhibitor which contains a triazole compound, such as difenoconazole, having a plant growth-regulating action. SOLUTION: This brassinosteroid metabolism inhibitor containing a compound represented by formula (I) or (II) (R1 and R2 are each independently H or a lower alkyl; R3 is H, a lower alkyl or a lower alkoxyalkyl; R4 is phenyl often having a substituent; X is a single bond or CH2; R11 is a lower alkyl, a lower alkenyl, or phenyl often having a substituent; Ru12 a lower alkyl or phenyl often having a substituent; R13 is phenyl often having a substituent) or its salt as an active ingredient.
