PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a small-sized bag opening device, simplify a driving segment and a bag opening step and improve its maintenance or cost. SOLUTION: Each of processing operations is carried out concurrently at a bag feeding segment 5, a bag striking segment 7, a vacant bag compressing segment 8 and a vacant bag discharging segment 9, four bags F are cut and opened while an inner rotary member 2 is being rotated once, air is injected through inserting pipes 41 and then the four bags F are opened and processed. Operations are carried out, wherein (1) the inserting pipe 41 is passed through a bag F placed at a bag receiving table 52, and the bag is retracted to an external cover 11 after the bag F is pressed with a pressing plate 54, (2) the bag F held while the inserting pipe 41 is passed through it is cut and opened by a cutter 61, air is injected from a slit of the inserting pipe 41 and at the same time the bag F is struck with a striking plate 71 to cause powder and particles to be dropped through the cut and opened port, thereafter the striking plate 71 is retracted toward the external cover 11, (3) the bag F having the inserting pipe 41 passed therethrough and held there is compressed with a compressing plate 81, the compressing plate 81 is retracted toward the external cover 11 to cause it to become a vacant bag G, (4) the inserting pipe 41 is retracted to an inner case 20 and the vacant bag G is released to a rotary shoot 91.
