PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving rack system allowing moving racks to be locked and unlocked through easy operations by means of a simple mechanism. SOLUTION: An operator, upon entering a working passage to perform a picking operation or the like, rotates a shutoff lever 25 to a shutoff position B, so that the optical axis of an intrusion sensor 15 is shut off by the cushion rubber plate 27 of the shutoff lever 25 and the movement of the moving racks of the entire system is stopped and locked. When exiting the working passage after completing the operation, the operator raises the shutoff lever 25 back to an open position A and presses an unlock switch to unlock the racks of the entire system to permit movement of the racks.
