PURPOSE:To obtain the title resin which can give a water-base printing ink for lamination which can give excellent adhesion and post-processability by incorporating a process for reacting an organic diisocyanate compound with a specified polymeric diol compound. CONSTITUTION:An organic diisocyanate compound is reacted with a polymeric diol compound containing carboxyl groups necessary for conversion into an aqueous form in the molecule to obtain an NCO-terminated prepolymer, and the mixture is reacted with an amine chain extender to produce an aqueous polyurethane resin. The polymeric diol compound is one containing at least 20wt.%, based on the total polymeric diol compound, polycarbonate diol having a number-average molecular weight of 500-3000. The above aqueous polymeric polyurethane resin can give a water-base printing ink having good adhesion to various films and excellent suitability for lamination. |
