PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a cyclized product of a trihalogenoacetyl halide with a compound having a carbon-carbon multiple bond or a carbon-hetero atom multiple bond by which the cyclized product can be produced without requiring the activation treatment of metallic zinc in an industrially easily usable solvent in high yield. SOLUTION: This method for producing the dihalogeno cyclic compound is characterized in that the reaction is carried out in the presence of the metallic zinc, a metal halide and phosphorus oxychloride when producing the cyclized product by reacting the trihalogenoacetyl halide with the compound having the carbon-carbon multiple bond or the carbon-hetero atom multiple bond.
