PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper processor with the punching function preventing deflection and breaking of paper for punching processing, reducing the size, having high reliability and advantageous in cost. SOLUTION: In this paper postprocessor 90 for postprocessing the paper discharged from an image forming device 100, after performing the punching processing by stopping once the paper carried to the paper postprocessor 90, the paper is carried by driving a carrying downstream side carrier roller 6 among carrier rollers 2, 5 and 6 arranged in the paper postprocessor 90, and is discharged outside the paper postprocessor 90 to thereby prevent the occurrence of a malfunction such as deflection and breaking of the paper.
