PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging body for a cake, wherein the kinds of fillings such as a cream or a sweet bean paste filled in the cake which cannot be discriminated by the appearance, can be easily shown. SOLUTION: This packaging body 1 is formed of a sheet material 4, and an opening 2, through which the cake 3 is placed, is provided at the upper section. Then, on the external surface of the rear surface section 6 of the packaging body 1, a plurality of characters to show the kinds of fillings of the cake 3 are listed in parallel. At the lower section of a front surface section 5, a sheet piece 7 is integrally formed. Then, at a location which corresponds with the characters, on the sheet piece 7, an indication piece 9 which is surrounded with a U-shape cut 8 is formed while being prevented from being separated. The sheet piece 7 is folded and superposed on the external surface of the rear surface section 6, and the lower end section is pasted to the rear surface section 6. Also, the upper end section is kept separated, and the indication piece 9 is folded back to the rear surface of the sheet piece 7. Then, the distal end is projected from the upper end of the sheet piece 7. Thus, the applicable character for the kind of the filling is shown. Therefore, the filling filled in the cake 3, which cannot be discriminated by the appearance, can be checked before eating, and thus, the packaging body can be contributed for the convenience of consumers.
