PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a fire burning section of a garden lantern for formal occasions with a pressed flower as a decorating medium. SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing the fire burning section of the garden lantern for the formal occasions comprises the steps of superposing a polyethylene film 9b side of laminated paper 9 obtained by laminating the polyethylene film with Japanese paper, nonwoven fabric or the like having light transmission properties in a state in which a previously processed pressed flower 6 is mounted at a mounting position 6a on an upper surface of a sheet- like article 7 having light transmission properties in which the pressed flower 6, a trimming die position 8 of a shape corresponding to a shape surrounded by adjacent longitudinal beam 3c and a design of a flower to become a background of the flower 6 are displayed at one surface side by a printing means, melting the film 9b by a heat press bonding means, sealingly embedding the flower 6, then cutting the article 7 to meet the position 8, and adhering the cut pieces between the adjacent beams 3c of the fire burning section 3.
