PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain various outward appearances by changing the color tone or pattern of substrate decorative paper, since vegetable fibers or chips are mixed in surface paper which turns transparent after hot press forming, and to obtain a decorative material having a natural texture that can not be obtained by usual printing paper. SOLUTION: The decorative material having the natural texture is formed by laminating resin-impregnated surface paper 1 as a surface layer, resin- impregnated composite paper 2 made of pulp for the surface paper with vegetable fibers and/or chips mixed in, and impregnated with a thermosetting resin, as a pattern layer, resin-impregnated paper 5 as a background layer of the paper 2 and a core material and by hot-pressing them for forming.
