PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage disposer usable under either one of power contracts as the one for normal power and as the one for late-night power corresponding to the demand of a user. SOLUTION: This garbage disposer 7 is provided with a time band power operation mode corresponding to the power contract according to a time band, performs a garbage disposing operation within the time of the power contract in the time band power operation mode and is usable in either one of power contract time bands as the one for the normal power and as the one for the late-night power. Also, in the case of operating the garbage disposer 7 within a power contract time band, garbage disposal is surely ended within the power contract time band.
