PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screw type filtration dehydrating device capable of directly filtering a low concentration suspension without passing through a concentration process and effectively performing the squeezing out in the later stage, when the liquid content is decreased, to improve the recovery of a suspended material. SOLUTION: A screw conveyer 11 having a core rod 11S tapered to increase the size of the tip is inserted into a center hole 10 of a cylindrical filter body 7 formed by arranging many groups of filter elements each composed of an annular filter plate and an annular movable plate to be laminated. The ratio of the diameter (a) of the core rod 11S in the vicinity of a feed port 8 to that (b) in the vicinity of a discharge port 9 is controlled to 1:1.2-1.5, the ratio of the inside diameter (C) of the annular filter plate to the diameter (a) of the core rod 11S in the vicinity of the feed port 8 is controlled to 1:0.5-0.6 and the ratio of the compressed volume (d) in the vicinity of the feed port 8 to the compressed volume (e) in the vicinity of the discharge port 9 is controlled to 1:0.3-0.5.
