PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an iron with which an expected ironing can be always suitably performed without employing steam. SOLUTION: A power supply heater 4 is placed within an iron body 1 having a handle 3. A spray means 20 and a supplying means 40 for an air for cooling are placed on the iron body 1 side. The spray means 20 comprises a nozzle 27 situated in front of the iron body 1 and a pressure air supplying pipe 29 communicating with the nozzle 27 as well as a liquid supplying pipe 30, and a switch 35 communicating and blocking these pipe 29 and 30 is placed in the handle 3. The supplying means 40 for an air for cooling comprises an air blowing off body 41 situated on the iron body 1 side and a cooling air supplying pipe 45 communicating with the air blowing off body 41.
