PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chimera animal having the liver comprising hepatocytes derived from different kind animals including human beings, and further to provide an assaying method by using the chimera animal. SOLUTION: This chimera animal is characterized in that the chimera animal has the assembly of hepatocytes derived from the different kind animals in the body, and the assembly of the hepatocytes substantially bears the liver function of the animal. The method for assaying the toxicity of the specimen, the metabolism in the liver and the effect for prophylaxis and therapy of the lesion of the liver function is carried out by using the chimera animal. |
