METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING PLANAR DISPLAY AND METHOD FOR REMOVING FOREIGN MATTER ON OPTICAL SHEET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planar display manufacturing method which comprises such a step that tacky foreign matters 12 stuck onto the surface of an optical sheet 2 can be easily removed surely by using a tacky roller 31 even when an automatic or semi-automatic roller is used for the tacky roller 31. SOLUTION: Cotton lint (short fiber) 11 is scattered on the surface of the sheet 2 before the roller 31 is pressed against the sheet 2. The foreign matters 12 stuck to the lint 11 are removed from the sheet 2 to be surface of the roller 31 as the lint 11 is moved on the surface of the roller 31 in the case of pressing the roller 31 against the sheet 2.
