PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and accurately adjust clearance of a nipping roller in a state of still operating a machine, and to simplify a clearance adjusting mechanism of the nipping roller and a mechanism for adjusting pressing force. SOLUTION: This clearance adjusting device has a pair of support arms for rockably supporting one side and rotatably supporting a roller on the other side, a pressing force applying means for applying force in the direction for approaching the above roller to another roller to the support arms and capable of adjusting the magnitude of the force applied to the support arms, a minimum clearance setting means capable of setting minimum clearance between two rollers and a clearance adjusting means for adjusting the size of the clearance between two rollers, and the clearance adjusting means is arranged in a support member for rotatably supporting one roller.
